"Perfect as we are" Jo March, Little Women (Adamo)
Recorded on January 30th, 2026 Mezzo: Anna Grace Roth Pianist: Tony Weinstein This role has been one of my very favourites to learn and perform! I had the privilege of jumping in last minute to sing Jo last summer for the Italian premiere of this piece at the Trentino Music Festival. I had a few weeks to learn it, and I'm so proud of all that I accomplished in that process. It was an honour to work with the team behind that production: Director Robin Blauers Piper, Maestro J. David Jackson, coach and pianist Paul Plummer, and so many more incredible mentors and colleagues. I hope to sing the role again someday!

"Voyez la sous son éventail" - Nicklausse, Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Offenbach)
Recorded on January 30th, 2026 Mezzo: Anna Grace Roth Pianist: Tony Weinstein This is my favourite version of Nicklausse's couplet. It was composed several times. The other version I've seen is quite fun and silly, but I like how this one captures the jealousy that the Muse (as Nicklausse) feels towards Hoffmann's romances. There's also a menacing, otherworldly quality to it-- maybe the Muse's true nature is difficult to hide sometimes!
